Born in Chicago, Sulie Girardi studied at Indiana University. The energetic woman with the Master of Music Diploma has reached at lot of people around the world with her stunning interpretations of roles at the Opera of Monte Carlo, the Opera Saarbrücken, Bregenz Festival or Stadttheater Baden.
Her Curriculum vitae offers a wide range of roles: For example Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Dritte Dame (Die Zauberflöte).
At the Volksoper Wien (Vienna), Girardi feels at home because since 1988, the mezzo soprano lives here.
When not on stage, Girardi loves to design jewellery.
This Season, Sulie Girardi will perform in these productions at the Volksoper: „Wie man Karriere macht, ohne sich anzustrengen“ as Ms. Krumholtz, as Mother in „Vivaldi-Die fünfte Jahreszeit“, or Marcellina in „Die Hochzeit des Figaro /The marriage of Figaro“.
